Aaron Abramovich is Partner at the Tel-Aviv law firm, Lipa Meir & Co and chairman of Masa Israel Journey, an umbrella organization that connects Jewish young adults to gap year, study abroad, post-college, and volunteer programs in Israel. In addition to his membership on the board of directors of the Genesis Prize Foundation, Abramovich is currently a member of the board of the Israel Museum, and since 2009 has been a member of the board of the National Library of Israel.

Before entering his current position of Partner at the Tel-Aviv law firm, Lipa Meir & Co., and as chairman of Masa Israel Journey, Mr. Abramovich was Director-General of the Israel Ministry of Justice (2001-2006) and served as Director-General of the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2006-2009).

Aaron Abramovich served as Legal Adviser to the Jewish Agency for Israel from 1995-1999. During this time, he also served as legal advisor to the World Zionist Organization (WZO), the World Jewish Restitution Organization (WJRO), and United Israel Appeal (Keren HaYesod).

Mr. Abramovich served as Director-General of the Jewish Agency for Israel from 1999-2001, in which capacity he guided significant aspects of this organizations’ operations. The Jewish Agency for Israel is charged with the immigration and absorption of Jews from the Diaspora, developing Zionist education programs and initiatives for the next generation of Jews, and assuring the continued partnership of world Jewry with Israel.

Before his current appointment to the chairmanship of Masa Israel Journey, Mr. Abramovich was a member of the boards of the Israel Lands Authority and of El Al Airline.
