Ekaterina Morozova is the accountant at the Genesis Prize Foundation and is responsible for many elements within the finance department, including budgeting, reporting, and analyzing financial data.
Ekaterina previously worked at Furman CPA & Associates LLC, in New York. She handled all accounting tasks for the firm and various clients, and also prepared tax returns.
Prior to working at Furman CPA & Associates LLC, Ekaterina spent eight years working as a senior accountant at public corporations in Russia. She participated in the consolidation of financial statements, translated consolidated statements from Russian accounting standards to U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Financial Reporting Standards, interacted with internal and external (BIG 4) auditors during audit procedures, and ensured adequate documentation of designated processes with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Ekaterina graduated from Ural State University, Russia with a Master of Science in Economics and Accounting. She also received The Association of Chartered Accountants Diploma in International Financial Reporting.
