Pavel Zilberkant made aliyah to Israel as a participant in the Jewish Agency for Israel's SELA (students before parents) program in 1999. Pavel served in the Israel Defense Forces' elite paratrooper unit, as both a soldier and non-commissioned officer. Through this experience, he accumulated significant experience as a project manager.
Pavel's additional experience includes working as a supervisor of the security department at Hebrew University, as the America Online customer accounts supervisor for IDT Global, and as a business development advisor for the Israeli Dead Sea cosmetics distributor in Lithuania, Latvia, Scandinavia and Russia.
Pavel also has a strong background in Jewish education. He has served as a counselor at educational summer programs of the Jewish Agency in Russia, and was involved in various Genesis Philanthropy Group projects in Israel, Russia, the United States and Canada. He developed and supervised the annual training course for TAGLIT-Birthright Israel guides and counselors for the Institute of Informal Education. He also served as a guide for Jewish high school students participating in the IsraCampus international educational project.
Pavel volunteered for many years in Israeli organizations for high school students from underprivileged families, including the Jerusalem Cultural Center in Talpiyot, which supports mentally disabled children.
In 2014, Pavel joined the Genesis Prize Foundation as a Project Manager.
