President Zelensky meets with Genesis Prize Foundation Trustee Natan Sharansky in Kyiv

On October 26, 2022 in Kyiv, Ukraine, two Jewish heroes met in the name of freedom and democracy. Ukraine’s first Jewish President Volodymyr Zelensky hosted Natan Sharansky, Genesis Prize Foundation Trustee and Chairman of the Genesis Prize Foundation Advisory Board. Before Sharansky toured Ukrainian towns to see firsthand the damage caused by Russian missiles, he and President Zelensky discussed support for the Ukrainian people and their fight for independence and freedom. Sharansky spent nine years in Soviet prisons as a political prisoner before making aliyah to Israel in 1986.
